Experimental Farm.
The ;sale to the Department of Agriculture of nill country farm in the Raglan district for experimental purposes « has heen com- ' pleted. The farm is of 1324 acres on the main Raglan deviation road, and formerly belonged to the Egan Lstate. Its purchase will facilitate experimental work designed to improve livestock on hill~country. Popular Annuial Ball. Benefiting as it does the patients' recreation fund, the stafE of the Levin Farm is anticipating that the annual ball to be held on Wednesday evening will be an outstanding success. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the function and this should ensure that. all who attend have an enjoyable evening. The number of tickets is limited and application should be made for them ■without delay.
