QUESTIONS FOR EVERYBODY DO you know that- the "Gospel of Christ" is the power of God unto salvation? (Rom. 1:16.) Do you know that the Gospel of Christ is the "Gospel of Grace"? (Eph. 2:8.) Do you know that "grace" is unmerited favour? Do you know that Salvation is not obtainable by good works? (Eph. 2:8-9.) Do you know that Salvation is the work of the Spirit of God in the soul? (John 3: 6.) Do you know that false teachers quote half of Phil. 2:12-13, Work out your own Salvation with fear and irembling, to substantiate the Gospels of Good Works for Salvaiuon, which is misleading while omitting. the vital portion, viz., For it is God which worketh in yonboth to will and to do of His good pleasure. Do you know that works of faith is the outcome of an inward work of grace, and not the cause of it? (Eph. 2:8-10.) BIBLE TRUTH Concerning The Holy Spirit, JHE idea is commonly held that the "Holy Spirit," or "Holy Ghost," is a person, the "third person in the trinity." ("Holy spirit" is the correct translation.) While stated in some later manmade creeds, as the Athanasian, this person idea was not believed or taught before A.D. 300; rior is the idea to be found in the Bible. it was adopted after A.D. 300 from ihe Pagan idolworshippers; after ihe style of the father-mother-son gods of Babjlon and Egypt. "Trinity," "three gods in one," "God the Holy Spirit," a "personal Holy 'spirit as God," are not spoken of m the Word of God. There is only One God. Isa. 46: 9, "I am God, and- there is none eise." Isa. 45:5,' 'I am the Lord . . there is no God beside me." Isa. 44; 6-8, "I am the first and I am the last, beside me there is no God." Had there been 3 Gods, it would have read— "We," "us," not T,"- 'me." Mark 12:29, "The Lord our God is one Lord." 1 Cor. 8:6, "There is one God, the Father, of whom are all things." 1 Tim. 2:5, 'There is one God, and one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus." Eph. 4:6, "One God and Father of all, who is above all."
