WELLINGTON, July 25. Traffic inspeetors are now issuing traffic offence notices to niotorists caught by the micro-wave speed tester, the Transport Department said today. This new deviee was used for about thr.ee months in an educational canipaign. During that period manv warnings were sent ehiefly to owners of heavy vehieles caught speeding. Por the last few weeks, however, inspeetors using the device have had authority to issue traffic offence notices. Tlie department will continue to nse the micro-wave tester ehiefly against offenders in the heavy traffic class.
