Mr. T. G. Vincent Is Worried About Future

The company was hopeful that next year the whole of its milk would be chilled at the KukuManakau 'dairy factory, said the chairman of directors, Mr, T; G. Vincent, when speaking at the annual meeting of shareholders of the Levin Dairy Company on Thursday. The problem was to obtain cans. He hoped that the Wellington City Council would allow the continued use of iis cans, as it would otherwise mean an expenditure of £4000. "I feel that it would be unwise to put our money into cans. We don't know what the future holds. At the- moment it is very dark. It might improve though. I hope it does," Later Mr. Vincent said: "Britain wants to buy more gbo'ds from the Empire, but it has got to go. on buying .dollar goods, I don't like the look of things at all." ' Pressure from America, he said, could mean that Britain might be asked to revise its 'coniracts with the Empire.
