Anglican Church's Attitude To Conscription

WELLINGTON, July 22. The principle of compulsory military training was approved last night by the Anglican Diocesan Synod after a debate in open sypod. The following motion was carried: "That this synod supports the principle of compulsory military I training, yuth due safeguards for the rights and conscience of those who object to military service and for the economic rights of those who enter training camps, and asks church people to con'sider prayerfully the spetial proposal for training which is about to be settled by , referendum."
