Meeting Of Ohau W.D.F.F.

The monthiy meeting of the Ohau branch of the- Women's Division of Federated Farmers was presided over by Mrs. J. Guerin in i?he absence of the president, Mrs. J. Kilsby. An invitation was received from St. John's Ladies' Guild to a social .afternoon on July 28. It was re.ported that £1 13s had been collected to buy seeds for despatch to China. Arrangements were made ■for the gala day to be held "on August 20. A small presentation ^yas made to Miss Joyce Hudson in rbcognition of her assistance with ttie programmes. Two most enjoyable musical items were given by Mrs. Osborne. The principal feature of the afternoon was an interesting and instructive talk by Mr. Clyde Saint on his reeent tour of Australia. Competitions were won by Mesdames Bowler and Coles. Miss Cat:e.y won the best fiower and shrub competitions. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Catley, Cheesman and Griffith and, Miss Ciatley^
