WELLINGTON, July 19. The smell caused by the effluent from the woolpack faetory at Foxton, wa.s raised in the House of Representative by Mr Oram in a question asked in today. Mr Oram, who directed the question to the Minister of Works, Mr Semple, asked wliat steps had been taken and what steps were contemplated by the Goverument to eliminate the smelb He reealled that at a conference held at Foxton earlier this year, both the hfinister of Works and Minister of Industries and Commerce agreed that the problem was the responsibility of the Government.
