Roadside Obstructions Must Go, Decides Council
Obstructions caused by the parking of trailers and horse floats, and the leaving outside houses of heaps of metal, sawdust and soil, v/ere the subjeet of comment by Cr. A. W. Parton at Monday night's meeting of the Levin Borough Council. The people concerried should be friade to light the vehicles or keep thefn off the roadways, said Cr. Partoh. The Mayor, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, agreed that Cr. Partoh had raised ah important matter. The boroUg'h overseer should implemeht the bylaws in regard to heaps of spoil of a semi-permanent nature.- - • It was mentioned during Ihe discussion that it was also an offence to park motor vehicles on roads df verges at night unless the par'kihg light was turned dn, or the vehicle was parked under or Within 150 feet of a street light.
