Whose Job Is It To Paint Levin's Crossings?

Whose responsibility is it to maintain level crossings in Levin? For years now it has been done by the Main Highways Board, the Levin Borough Council merely painting the parking signs and bays. The Transport Department official who spoke at last night's council meeting said he had been led to understand from the board that the council did the job. Fortnnately, however, the crossings are still being maintained and maintained well, but not by the borough staff. The recommendations of the Transport Department's officer contained in this article will be thoroughly gone into by the council and referred to the Main Highways Board.
