Gun-running Charges Are Dropped

SAN JOSE (Costa Rica), July 15. The Panamanian Government has dropped extradition proceedings against Mauriee Keith Berry, New Zeaiand journalist, and Hollis O'Hanlon, Can-adiun-born Americah citizen, whom it had accused of gun-running to Panama. The Costa Itican police had arrested O'Hanlon oarlier and had been seeking Berry who successfully evaded arrest. The police held O'Hanlon for 45 days while awaiting the outcome oi tlie ex tradition proceedings, but eventuallv released him on July 5. The Costa Rican Foreign Miuistrv announeed tonigth that both men were now completely free from anv oharge. The Panamanian Government had alleged originally that O'Hanlon, assisted by Berry, used his schooner to smuggle arms to Panama for a rpcent revolution attempt.
