The English team to meet New Zeaiand in, the third test beginning at Manchester on July 23 will be selected frohi the following twelve piayois: v\ Brown tca,ptam), W. Edrich, T. Bailey, R. Siippson, D. Oompton, L. Hutton, C. "Washbrooace, T. Evaixs, W. Holpes,, J. Laker, L. Jackson and B. Close.' In announcing that Brown would captain England, the selectors added that F: M'ann was very doubtful if he would be available to play cricket n'ext stimmer. "Brown has been mvited to captain England in'the remaining two tests and Mann has been cQ-opted to the selection committee for the remainder of the season."
