Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, July 16. Four persons were killed and seveial injured when a violent thunderstorm with torrential rain swept Southern Sngland today. Two" men fishing in the reservoir at vValthamstow, London, were killed when lightning struck the tree under which they were sheltering. Two boys were killed and two injured by lightning in the London mhurb of Plumstead. Lightning struck numerous London louses, causing minor damage. People sheltering in shop doorways at Kensington Gardens saw seven sheep -ulled hy a flash of lightning. Several London suhurhs were flooded while holiday queues waiting for trains were drenched hecause the people refused to give up their places. People at TJxbridge were marooned in Duses and shops hy the worst storm in the history of the district.
