Oratory Contest For Boys And Girls
AUCKLAND,. July 11. Eourteen pupils from the secondary scliools in the Auckland province, spoke to-night on "Empire Unity," in the oratory contest conducted by the Overseas League. The winner, Helen Boyle, of Auckland Girls' Grammar Sehool, and runner-up, K. E; W. Melvin, of Iving's College, will represent the Auckland area at the Dominion iinal to be held at Christchurch on July 20, at which two pupils fronj eaeh of the four areas in New Zealand will compete. • s-
