WELLINGTON, July 12. The Government has declined a request by the New Zealand Educational lnstitute - that the superannuation Act be amended to enable discharged servicemen to count" for^superannuation purposes War service ,prior:.t'o entry into the eaucation profession. Writing to the -Minister of Finance, Mr, Nash, the- institute's secretary, Mr. Ashbridge, pointed out «hat War service was recognised for grading, salarie's and leave of abstnce, and it was considered that it should also be recognised for superannuation purposes.
