Vital Cargo Seized From Honolulu Strikers
NE"\y YORK, July 7. A Honolulu message says Federai •Tudge Frank McLaughlin tonight sign ed an order for the" seizure of the freighter Hawaiian Citizen to enabJe the removal of vitally needed cargo from the strikebound ship. United States' Marshal Otto Heine said ne would seize the ship tomorrow to unlqad 2500 tons of tinplate for pineapple cans which the American Can Com pany petitioned the Court to release tc prevqnt large losses resulting from the ripening of the fruit. The House Committee on Unamerican Activities deeided today to investigate the Hawaiian doek strike after tne strike ends. A committee investigator will go to the islapds to look into reports that the strike was brought on by Conimunist aetivity and to inquire into Communist infiltration in the islands and into key unions there. After getting his report the committee will decide whether to go into the matter further.
