Sunday morning at 8 a.m. will be zero hour for members of the Shannon Amateur Athletic -and Cycling Club, for a working bee will commence the task of carrying out repairs to the domain cycle track. Spoil will be carted from the "brick hill" to build up the track in readiness for the coming season., It is requested that as many' memr - bers as possible be present to as-; sist. - '• ' i Experimental Area Wanted. - '••• When moving a vote of thariks to offlcers of the ManaWatu Cateh-5 ment Board following their ad- 1 dresses to members * of the ' Shan--non branch of Federated Farmers on Wednesday night, Mr. R.. J. Law made' the suggestion that an ex~ 1 perimental area be established byi the board in this district. Mrf Law | said that there were plenty of hills ; around the Shannon district where the board could carry out tree planting and other experimental work.
