PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Levin Borough Council will, at a meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Bath Street, Levin, at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 1949, make and levy the following rates for the year ending March 31st, 1950: — 1. A General Rate of seven and four-tenths pence (7.4d.) in. the £ on the. Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin. 2. A Hospital Rate (under the provisions of Section 52 of "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926") of two and sixtenths pence (2.6d.) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin. 3. A Water Rate (Ordinary Supply) under the provisions of Section 84 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," of three pence (3d.) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin, provided that, if such rate would produce less than ten shillings (10/-d.) in respect of any such land or dwell-ing-house, a charge of 10/-d. will be made. One half of the above water rates on all lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not, Supplied, situate within one hundred yards of any part of the waterworks, and on all buildings other than dwelling-houses. - 4. A Uniform Annual Sanitation ■Charge, under the provisions of Section 90 (2) of "The Municipal CorporatiOns Act, 1933," of two pounds ten shillings (£2/10/-) pef pan upon all such properties as hay.q- a- building thereon to which the Council is prepared to extend the service. 5.
