WELLINGTON, June 30. "Trade statistics for January of tliis year indicate tlie maintenance of a high return from exports, " said the Minister of Customs, Mr. Nash, today. The value of exported goods during January 1949 (£19,271) had been exceeded only onoe before in the histoi-y of New Zealand trade — in the monthly tigure of February 1948 (£19,305).
