AUCKLAND, June 30. A farmer was burned to death in a fire in a bach at Hikuai, 36 miles north of Waihi on the Mercury Bay Road, early this morning. He was: GORDON JAMES AGNEW, aged 68, married, of Hikuai. The fire was discovered by MrS. 1 Agnew. She founii her husband lying | on the floor of the bach and with the ] help of an employee of the farm, man-( aged to drag him elear of the burning building. However, he was then dead.
