Alan Rolston Wins Road Race On Saturday
A7an Rolston showed a big improvement on his previous perf ormances in ' Saturday's road race from Levin to Te. Horo and return, going on to win with a time of 1 hr. 43 mins. Owen Connolly was second, his time being 1 hr. 31^ mins., followed by Harry Donovan, who scored.fastest time — 1 hr. 30 mins. Fourth was M.' Harper, who clocked 1 hr. 30 mins., 1-5 sec. Only these four out of seven starters completed the journey. ^ The handicaps were: I. Capper, M. Tatana and A. Rolston, 15 mins.; D. Yeates and O. Connolly, li\ mins.; and M. Harper and* Donovan, scratch. Capper-, Tatana and Yeates failed to comp'ete the journey. Next Saturday 's_ race will be from Levin to Motuiti ' -Station and return. . '
