Golfers Play Foursomes Competition
(By "Duffer") Most of the games in the foursomes cdmpetition were completed on Saturday. This competition is a new departure for the Levin Club and, despite the original opinion held by many that each player would only have half the usual golf, most members enjoyed the experience. For the. benefit of non-golfing readers, a foursome is played with jnly one hall to each pair, the members of which drive off on alternative tees an*d then play alternative shots. It is this factor that adds interest to a foursonie, giving as it does an opportunity for a eombination of technique and tactics. The pesition at the moment is as f ollows : — -Richards and A. Clarke beat A. Walker and Kenny, to play Black and W. Walker, who beat J. Todd and Bull; Langelan and Eq-
