Public Trust Business.
Estates to the value of £820,249 were accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of May, 1949. New business for the two months ended May 31 was £1,296,483. Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 147 for the month. During the month 740 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were iprepared on behalf of testators and lodged for ' safe eustody and 648 wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of wills now hefd in the Public Trust ©fflce on behah of living persons is 144,796.
