Australia Stupid; N.Z. Sensible
- Received Eridav, 30.40 p.m. BRISBANE, June 24. New Zealand had been sensible where Australia had been stnpid in industrial development, according to Dr C. Clark, the noted economist and Director of the Oueensland Bureau of Tndustry. He told a conference of dairy factory managers that the poliev of aceelerating seeondarv industries in Australia' had been stupid. Hnnatural development had taken labour from primarv industries and had helped to keep Australians homeless. Australia was making an extremely poor showing in the overseas food market whereas New Zealand 's production was 23 per cent. higher than before the war.
