Choose The Doors Of Life Carefully
"Every door makes a promise to us. We know what is promised as we put our hand cn the handle," said Rev. A. Salmond, of LevinV preaching on Sunday at Otaki, on the saying of Jesus, "I am the door." "Many people are choosing the " door which has a pleasure promise on it. So frequently do they put their hand on the handle that opening the pleasure door becomes the habit of their living. Fundamentally the habitual choice of .pleasure is based on selfishness, for which there is no human antidote. God's grace alone can save from that. "Many peop^ also make the power choice. desiring control over the lives of their fellow men. Those who make the choice of the door to power often show a willingness to reject the door cf pleasure and their lives give evidence of zeal and intense' energy," continued the speaker. Neither the choice of the pleasure door nor the choice of the .power door led to fullness of life." Folk Who ehose either met frustration and failure and death. The door of faith in God and service of man did lead to true life. And in that doorway, and behind it, stood Jesus Christ. »
