June Meeting Of Levin Institute
^ . . The June monthly meeting of Levin Women's Institute took nlace reeently. There was an excellent attendance, including four new members. 4 welcome was extended to all present by the president, Mrs. Powell. Reference to the arts and crafts exhibition was made by the nresident, who thanked all who had helped to make it the suecess it had been. The results had exceeded all expectations, she said. Attention was drawn to the drama festival on July 4. Mesdames Maugham and McLeavey were appointed delegates to the group rally in Levin on June 24. After the business had heen disposed of members were entertained by Mrs. Ridge, of Otaki, who sang several delightful songs, "and Miss Pat Fogden, who caused much amusement with humorous recita,tions. Competition winners . were as follows:— Flowers:' Mrs. Maugham 4, Mrs, Suhan 2, Mrs. Hyde 3. Bhrubs: Mrs. Hyde 1, Mrs. Maugham 2, Mrs. Grifflths 3. Vegetables: Mrs. "J. Hall 1 and 3, Mrs. Trotman 2. Rrettiest cake plate : Mrs. Sharp 1, Mrs. Norgrove 2, Mrs. Thomson 3, A work hasket competition was won by Mrs. McLeavey,
