Wairarapa Promised Cement This Week
v MASTERTON, June 21. Subject to the arrival of shipping on Thursday, the Building Controller, Mr. R. L. MacPhail, of Welington, has allocated Masterton 75 tons of cement and smaller auantities to other Wairarapa towns to afford some relief from the existing shortage. Advice to this effect was received this morning by the Masterton Master Builders' Association in a telegram from, the controller in reply to "the association's representations. Mr. MacPhail said: "The serious Shortage is appreciated and everything possible is being done to seeure additional supplies from the works. Dqe to the shipping difficulty only a very suaall quantity has heen received in Wellington in recent weeks.
