Carpenters' Registration Certificate Missing
^ AFCKLAND, June 17. The registration certificate of the new Auckland Carpenters' Cnion disa]tpearod today. The police are invegtignting. Fnion officials state that two men ralled at the oflice and asked for a copy of the rules. Tliev were told that these had not heen printed, but they could see a draft of them. One of the men said liis eyesight was defective and passpd the copv of the rules to his companion, remarking: "Have a look at it. " It is alleged that he then left the office hurriedly pursued bv a union official. It is also alleged that the other caller obstrueted the officia,! by sidestepping in the doorway. The latter telephoned the police. Attached to the copv of the rules was the union 's registration certificate.
