Personal. Mrs. C. A. Kemp, of Tasman Roa'd, is spending a holiday with her parents Tytr. and Mrs. A. L. G. Marshall, Outram, Dunedin. •Bob Hakaraia, the local youth who has won the last three hoxing matches he has contesved, expects to he fighting at Stratford on Saturday night. Mr. E. R. Johnson, of Waerenga Road, has been successfully operated on in the Palmerston North Hospital and is reported to be making good headway. He is expected, however, to undergo another operation in about a fortnight's time. Car Mishap. Mr. Brian Geange, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Geange, Te Horo, had a lucky escape from serious injury when the car he was driving ran of the road into a ditch while rounding a deceptive vbend au Te Hoi'o on Tuesday night. The car was badl ydamaged, oue the ,driver escaped with a shaking.
