, CHBISTOHURCH, June 15. "Eyery word in the Nationai Party 's pamphlet ' Russianising New Zealand' was &ue and absolutely fair," said Mr. Holland replying to eriticism of the publieation by the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser). "It is not tirue to say, as the Prime Minister says, tliat we puhlished what was the first draf t of the Supply Regulations Bill," said Mr. Holland. "We actually puhlished in the pamphlet photostatic copies of actuai clauses in the Bill which the Government introduced into Parliament and did its utmost to put through in the i'ace of a long and arduous stone- wall. "The Government would have been sueeessful but for- the vigorods aua "tenacious efforts of the Opposition, which fought the Bill for the whole of one night and until the seetion was withdrawn on the following day." Mr. Hollahd said the -Bill was the most diabolical measure ever to be introdueed intb te New Zealand Parliament. "It made provision for the creation of a commo-so'cialiit State," he declared. "In i.t the Governmeftt "asked for power by Order-in-Council to take possession of any propevty, entei and search any premises, alter any ex isting laws, and for the right to take over the bamks, freezing works, farms dairy factories, and other businesses without 'further reference to Parliament. "It iS no use for the Prime Minister to try to. convince the people that the Government had no intention of using these powefg," said. Mr. Holland. * 'Ii that is so, why did they introduce tne 'measure?" '
