Pretty Otaki Wedding
A pretty wedding in which the contracting parties were Mrs. M. Furse and Mr. F. Prentiqe took place-at the home of the bride, at Otaki Raiiway, on June 8. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. R. Grice, the bride being given away by Mr. Frank Wilton, with Miss Nola Collis maid* of honouf;. The bride'is dresis was of cinnamon, han'd embroidered, whiie that of the maid- of honour was a pretty blue, embroidered in black. After the ceremony a Very appetising afternoon tea was served,. Mr. and Mrs. Prentice cutting the wedding cake, while the usual toasts were honoured. Numerous congratulatory te egrams were received, together with many useful and valuable presents. In the evening a 1 arge number of friends ga'- hered and ce ebrated the occasion. Mr. Athol Prentice, of Wellington, delighted the company with numbers p.ayed on his piano accordecn and -vocal solos, and Miss M. Guthrie also pleased with the so o "My Happiness.l' Supper was served. and speeches appropriate to rhe occasion were given. A very enjoyab e evening cone uded with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
