Brisk Bidding At Jersey And Friesian Dispersals
Two successful saies for the complete dispersal of weli-known uis.rict Jersey and Friesian studs weri conducted recentiy by tne New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. ® The joint auction of Tirvean and Pa View Jerseys, the former owned Dy Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Evans, .Levin,, and the latter by Mr. W. "H. Gordon, Levin, attracted a representative hench of buyers. The Tirvean offering comprised eight cows, four bulls and 14 heifers, whfe there were 11 cows, two bulxs and eight heifers in the Pa View dispersal. The cattle came forward in a condition which reflected cre'dit on the owners and competition was keen in consequenee, values in many mases exceeding

A dispersal of considerable interest, particular'y in district Friesian quarters, was the one on behalf of the Ardoch stud, owned by Mr. J. Morrison, Ihakara. It was the first of its kind for a number of years and the tatai offering, wdiich a s j included 22 grade cows, brought the very fine average of £32. Buyers were present from as far away as North Auckland and the South Island, and brisk bidding was a feature.
