Labour Will Nationalise Industrial Insurance
LONDON, June 10. The Government has decided that if -it is retur'ned at the next election, it will nationalise industrial assurance which would mean taking over the Prudential and other great colleeting societies, says the Daily Express. i The Minister of National Insurance, Mr. James Grifiiths, at the Labour Party confer'ence at Blackpool, speaking on behalf of the executive, told; delegates : "Having made up oui- minds' that industrial assurance ought to l^e a public service, we commend it to you as the action which our Government ought to take."
