Frankie Flannery, Victorian lightweight fought a thrilfing battle with Pierre Montaine, French lightweight champion. Flannery. received the decision but it must have been very close. Now that Jack Hassen is to fight in Melbourne Flannery must be considered for a bout. Andre Famechon defeated Flannery on a t.k.o. but Famechon and Montaine have never met. Both Frenchmen are under different management and while no title could be' involved they have expressed a .wish to be matched. Famechon has the better record in Aus.tralia and is to neet Hassen this week.
