Fat Stock Prices Firmer At Levin Sale
Yardings of "$at stock at the Levin sale yesterday were good all round in both numbers and quality. Dairy and store stock was in short supply. With the exception of the beef section, all prices for fat stock showed a firming tendency. Beef sold, on a par with late The following is a range of the prices reahsed: — Fat sheep: Medium fat wethers, 26s lOd to 27s lOd; prime heavy do., 28S 4d tb 29s 7d; medium fat eWes, 33s 4d to 34s 7d; prime heavy do., 35s 7d to 36s ld; light fat lambs, 35s 4d to 36s lOd; medium do., 37s ld to 38s 4d; prime heavy do., 38s 4d to 39s 7d; extra prime heavy do., £2 .6s lOd to £2 7s 4d. Fat pigs: Light porkers, £3 11s to £4 2s 6d; medium do., £4 7s to £5 5s; prime heavy do., £5 7s to £5 15s ; baconers, £5 18s to £6 5s. Store pigs : Sows to f arf ow, • £7 5s to £10 5s; stores, 33s 6d to £2 3s.
