Some high scores were recorded i xi- Saturday's football*'throughou& ohe Horowhenua, Achletic toppi % the list with a 34 to 3 points' victory over Paraparaumu. Played in con--junction with the Shannon Club's jubilee, the Maori v. Pakeha game at Shannon resulted in a pakeha victory, the score being 30-5. Tf was a good game and the spectators were treated t'o some bright f ootoall. That could not be said of tjie junior Maori v. Pa&eha match played as a curtain-raiser and which resulted in a 3-all draw. It was more of a mud scramble with many scrum' infringements and poor packing.
