Death of Noted Pacing Sire
Reeeived Thursday, 11.37 p.rn. HOBART, June 2. Prince Pointer, oue of the fasteSt New Zealand pacing sires imported to Tasmania,. has died at the age of 29 years. Prince Pointer, a top class racehofse in- his da.y, was imported to Tasmania 18 years ago. His sire, Logan Pointer, is a noted brood mare sire in New Zealand. Prince Pointer 's best son is Brown Sheik now a leading peiformer in West Australia. Tasmantan pacing stnd owners have had much success with Logan Pointer mares from New Zealand. Logan Pointer 's sire Star Pointer, was the first horse in the world to break the two minute iiuie. This was accomalished in 1&Q7
