WrjLL»IiN vjriUYS; JUJ1G The first poliomyelitis case reported in the Wellington* health district , for ,over two months, was adniitted to the Wellington Hospital two days ago. The patient is a girl aged seven from the Hntt Valley district. The Officer of Health, Dr. G. L. McLeod, said toniglit that while it was quite impossible to say whether this new case heralded others, the Department was not viewing the situation with alarm. Poliomyelitis had worked its way south through New Zealand some time ago and was noi prevalent in any one area. Four cases weekly approxiiuately, were reported throughout the Dominion, said Dr. McLeod. These cases appeared sporadieally in different areas,
