T don't think this is playing cricket," was the remark of Mr. J. A. Zuppicich at last night's meeting of the management committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union when commentmg on the apathetic attitude of two football clubs towards the correct marking of their grounds. Ihe committee was discussing a report from a referee, complaming that the ' ground at Waikanae did not have the dead-ball line properly marked. Mr. Zuppicich pointed out cnat this matter and that of the Otaki ground had been raised a fortnight previously, when dele--gates from these clubs had assured ihe meeting uhat it would be .xutended to. If no action was taken oy them, then the referees would nave to do something themselves. It was decided to write to the' clubs concerned.
