Coming-Of-Age Party
* The Anglicair Hall was comfortably filled on- Saturday night last when friertds and relatives of Mr and Mrs. A. J. Fogden attended tc honour their third daughter, Audrey, on the occssion of her attaining her majority. The unique decorations included a fern tree, fcalloons and blue and white streamers. . Dancing was freely indulged in to music supplied by Mr. and Mrs. W. Nevil'e, of Levin, with extras by Miss Doris Cleale and Mr. Keith Bradford, of Levin. Mr. Trevor Fogden was master of ceremonies. A variety of items also helped to make the evening very enjo-yable, • these including a quartette by Misses Phyllis and June Fogden, and 'Messrs 'G. Lankshear and B. Morrison, with Messrs Lankshear and Morrison , later providing a 'duet. Items given were 'much appreciated and generously applauded. Miss Audrey Fogden wore a frack net frock over a taffeta skirt. During the supper interlude and after the lovely birthday cake had been cut the toast of the guest of the evening was proposed by Mr. L. Allen, of Levin. The toast was accompanied by musical honours and Miss Fogden was further applsuded for her response, The traditional key was handed to her, an'd a happy party later concluded with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
