Licensing Commission Has First Meeting
WELLINGTON, May 30. The first meeting of the Licensing Control Commission recently set .up as the principal authority controlling the liquor trade, will be held on June 1. The initial intention is that it will then decide its policv xvithin the terros of the Licensing Amendment Act. The Commission comprises Mr. A. M. Goulding (chairnian), Colonel B. Barrington and Mr. L. C. Nisbet. The Commission 's duties will include general supervision of all licensing committees, a review of the distribution of lieenees, the determination of the number of new liccnces to be issued, an 1 many other matters connected with licensing.
