All Blacks Going Out To Win First Match
Rqceived Tuesday, H a.m. CAPETOWN, M.ay 30. "We have done eyerythiug possible to prepare ourselves for this match. The boys have worked hard. Every facility has been placed at our disposal. Now it is up to us," said the manager of the All Blacks, Mr. J. Parker, m a special message to New Zealand on the eve of the. opening encounter of the South African tour. "We are going out to win and win we will if possible. Natural y we do not expect to be at the top of oui form. That will be attained aftei a few matches, but if we fail we wil.. have no exeuses." Though rain has been forecast, the weather has been fine in ^Capetown tor the past week and prospects are for good conditions for the first match on Tuesday. Tremendous in terest centres in the fixture and the rush for seats has been comparable with that for the Norfch-South match in Wellington last season. A crowd of 40,000 is expected, which represents the maximam holding capacity of the Newlands ground but thousands are unlikely to gam adxnissxon.'
