Compensation Effect.
The results of surgery maae necessary through accidents could be ixpected to be less favourable than normally where compensation was Involved, said Dr. R. C. S. Dick, giving evidence in a case in the Workers' Compensation Court in Christchurch. "It is the experience of surgeons that following operations of this type, domestic workers and private business wage earners recover more quickly than men in Government departments or in cases where compensation is .involved," he said.
