Miniature Rifle Shooting
♦ The Shannon. Miniature Rifle Club held its opening sjioot of the 1949 season in the Druids' Hall on Wednesday, May 11. Although there was only a small attendance of members, the standard of shoofcing was very high. Seven of the 15 members returned targets with a score of over 90. The following are the opening night scores:— V. Guerin 95, F. j: Lucinsky 94, G. Rix 93, 1. Hemmingsen 93, P. Third 91, G. Robinson 91, C. Sands 90, M. Moynihan 86, F. Hobbs 82, J. Birss 79, G. Sherwood 79, T. Gardner 78, M. Munford 74 and Miss €. Robinson 69. The following are the Scores for the club shoot held on Wednesday, May 18: — I. Hemmingsen 97, P. Third 97, G. Kennard 96, F. J. Lucinsky 94, C. Sands 93, M. Moynihan 96, H. Munford 93, G. Robinson 92, G. Rix 92, ,K. Clough 90, G. Sherwood 86, J. Birss 89, F. Hobbs 85, Miss C. Robinson 70, M. Munford 68 and K. San'ds 49. A further club shoot was held last Wednesday, when 12 members were present. The following targets were returned: — G. Rix 95, T. Gardner 92, P. Third 93, G. Kennard 89, C. Sands 89, J. Birss 89, G. Sherwood 88, H. Munford 87, F. Hobbs 85, P. Johnson 75, Miss C. Robinson 65 and Miss D. Kennard 44. Office holders for the 1949 season were appointed at the receritlyheld annual meeting and are as follows:— Patron: Mr. C. Guerin; president: Mr. A. Judd; viee-presi-dents: Messrs H. Curran and R. Seanlon; secretary: Mr. G. Kennard; club-captain: Mr. F. J. Lucinsky.
