NELSON, May 26. Heavy flooding was experienced in Golden Bav this afternoon. Takaka was isolated when the Takaka River overflowed covering the main road to Collingwood with six feet of water. The breaking of stopbanks east of the town inade the State highway impassable to traffie from Motueka. Several families were evacuated when flood water rau through the houses.
