Received Thursdav 10.15 p.m. OANBKRRA, May 26. Aastralia is to import 20,000 tons of >t"e! rails from France, the Prime ATiu-i-'er, Mr Ghifl ey, revealed in the Ilouse "f b'epresentatives. Ile said the ques-G-in of importing struetural steel from l' -anco had been discussed with the 1 ; encl) Foreign Minister, M. Schuman. Mr ( 'hifley also told the Leader of the '■'cnitry Partv, Mr Fadden, that dog -nikes were being imported for the New b.eitli Wales railwavs from Japan and :fain struetural steel would also be i:n|n>rted from that country. The Prime Minister added: "If all ihe capacity of Anstralian steel works "cre used, we would still not be able to ineet our steel denihnds. I quite frankly adinit that failure to produce coal, partieularlv in the Newcastle district, has ic-ulted in failure to produce badly needed steel." __ ,
