Regent Theatre

SATURDAY AND MONDAY Jim Blandings (Cary Grant) , an advertising man, is a modern cliff dwel'er, unhappy in a crowded New York apartment. He feels he needs m9re room for himself, his wife Muriel (Myrna Loy) , their two children", Betty (Connie Marshall) and Joan (Sharyn Moffett) and_ his mai'd, Gussie (Louise Beaversl* who prides herself on her cooking. A sharp realtor talks them into buying a tumble-down house in the country, miles from everyching. The dea1 is comnleted without the advice of Bill Gole (Melvyn Douglas), the Blandings' lawyer and friend. He discovers, through engineers,- that they not only pai'd five times too much, but that the house is so old they must tear it down and begin -building anew. This is the theme of "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House," showing at the Regent Theatre on Saturday and Monday.
