i WELLINGTON, May 25. , The consumption of heroiri ih New Zealand had been consrderaVy reduced as a result of investigations over the last three years This information was given to thi New Zealand Labour Party's conference today by the Minister of Health, Miss Howard. She was speaking to a remit that an inquiry should be made into the cqnsumption of heroiri in New Zealand. The Minister said that as a result of investigations heroiri was strietly controlled and the com sumption considerably reduce'd. She added that the Health Department was taking further .actiori and proposed to bring in regulations hmiting the amoUnt of heroin that could be used in social security prescriptions.
