— ' ■ " >& ' A very satisfaetory average .of £18 10s was realised for the dairy hferd offered at a clfearing sale this week on beha'f of Mr. J. j. Guerin, of Ohau, by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., the. 47 Jersev-Priesian cross cows, mainly Secori(f and third calvers, came forward iii good Condition. They had high producing records and met with a keen demand from the 'arge bench of buvers, who came from Taranaki and as fdr south as Tawa Flat, with a strong district represen'ation. The following is a range of the prices realised: — Cows in milk. £18, £26 10s, £29, £31; June calving do., £19, £21, £25 10s, £27; July caWing do., £15, £18 10s, £20 10s, £25 10s; August calving *do., £10 10s. £14, £16 10s, £18. £20: weaner heifers, £7 10s; three-year Jersey bul1. £8; seven-year mare. £30. A total clearance of the suhdries was effected at full late rates.
