A baby was bofn ihto a darkened world, lit only by torches, at the Motueka Cottage Hospital on Thursday night when the eleetric power supply failed. • A stone, measuring 8in by 6in., which b^cked a stone trap valve at the Cobb power station at dusk, caused the breakdown. Power was restored at 10.30 p.m.
