IH the senior game at the Levin Park Domain shannon easiiy acCounted for Wanderers by 15 points to six. Wanderers had the better hooking forwards, but' the fas;, young Shannon pack usually spoile'd the passing among fcheir opponeiits' backs. Many promising representative players were seen and among those who impressed were Mortimer, Shannon's full-back, who looks certain for a place .in the Horowhenua team this year; Woods, a fine type of forward, who played a great game fof Shannon; Potuiu, who gave indications that he wil deve'op into a fi-ne winger; and. Fuller and Chester, who both played well enough to be cohsidered. " Wanderers, on the-. other hand, had no outstanding players, - but among -those who were prominent in parts of the game were Neylon, Hughes, McCfeady and Gwynn. The home team again pressed in Shannon terri, ory, but erratic play by the Wanddfers forwards, who failed to pack like a team, proved an advantage to Shannon, who slowly returned play to the half way mark. In this movement Potutu and Mortimer showed good work. From a lineout on the Wanderers 25, Milroy and .Marshall commenced a dribbhng rush, but lack of support was noticeable. After a period of fugged play, the Shannon back line received the ball from Trltt and Potutu, on getting possession, made for the eorner, only to be run out on the Wanderers five-yard mark. A qutck throw out saw Potutu get the ball from one of his forwards and dive over the line. The kirk fn.llerl

After a few minutes, Mortimer received the ball and took a pot at goal, which was successful. The kick was a really fine one and his effort received an ovation. Wanderers were down to rugged fqotbail from now on but their efforts were short lived, as an intercepted pass by Fuller set the Shannon back line in action. Skilton saved Wanderers from danger and play returned to the centre. From a lineout Wanderers forwards, headed by Crawford and Philiips,t broke through Shannon's defence'and from a scrum on the Shannon five-vard mark Winiata, playing well at hah-back, scofed.
